The short answer
Clixtell blocks bad clicks in Google Ads. DataCops keeps bots out of what your ads learn from, on every platform, and adds the sales that happen after the click.
- DataCops: best overall if you want clean tracking, not just a blocker. A bot verdict on every visit, Real people only per platform, CRM stages sent to your ads.
- ClickCease: best for small advertisers blocking on Google, Meta and Microsoft.
- ClickGuard: best for agencies that want fine-grained blocking rules.
- Fraud Blocker: best for Google plus Facebook and Instagram on a budget.
- Spider AF: best for a broader ad fraud suite.
Most people who search for a Clixtell alternative want better blocking, or blocking on more than Google. That is a fair reason. But it misses the bigger question: what are your ads learning from?
Every click fraud list compares detection rates and exclusion limits, as if stopping the click were the whole job. None of them ask what happens to the bot that gets through. That is what this guide is about.
Blocking the click is half the job
Here is the category problem in plain words. A click blocker works at the door. It spots a bad IP, adds it to your Google Ads exclusions, and maybe helps you claim a refund. Good. But no blocker catches every bot, and the new ones come from fresh IPs every day.
The bot that gets through fills your form. Your pixel records a lead. Google or Meta gets told: this person converted, find me more like them. So the ad platform goes looking for more bots. The refund covers the click. Nothing covers the months of bidding on the wrong people.
What DataCops does instead
DataCops is the tracking solution for ad-funded businesses: it keeps bots out of what your ads learn from and sends the sale that happens after the form to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn. It is not a click fraud tool. Every visit gets a verdict: bot, datacenter, VPN or proxy. Switch on Real people only for a platform and flagged visits never reach it as a conversion. It is off by default, and with it on, it keeps about 99% of bots out. Every ad click also has a row in the click log, so you see what it turned into.
Clixtell sells one slice of the chain: the paid click on Google and Bing. DataCops handles the chain: the visit, the verdict, the conversion, the sale in your CRM, and what each ad platform is allowed to learn.
Clixtell stops the bot you paid for. DataCops stops the ad platform learning from it.
What's your actual goal?
Nobody wants a click fraud tool for its own sake. You want five things:
- Stop paying for bots, or at least stop paying twice for them.
- Keep bots out of your conversions, so the ads do not learn from fake leads.
- Capture every real lead and sale, sent server-side from your own subdomain.
- Send the sales that happen later, on a call, in a clinic, in your CRM.
- Stay compliant, with consent checked and data deleted on request.
Clixtell does the first one on Google and Bing. DataCops does the other four, on four platforms. Here is the same goal, done both ways.
The traditional way, with Clixtell
- Add the Clixtell tracking code and Google Ads template.
- Tune your rules and IP exclusion settings.
- Run a separate pixel and Conversions API setup per platform.
- Hope the bots that get through do not fill your forms.
- Buy a consent banner from another vendor.
- Build a CRM connection for offline sales yourself.
- Leave Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn unprotected.
With DataCops
- Add one script and one DNS record.
- Connect Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn with one click each.
- Switch on Real people only where you want it.
- Switch on the consent manager.
- Connect HighLevel or your CRM webhook.
Then run your business. Bots stay out of each platform's data, and the ads learn from real buyers.
Clixtell guards the door on one platform. DataCops cleans what every platform learns from.
The real cost of a $50 tool
Clixtell Protection is $50 a month. That is the only number on the invoice. The real cost is in the questions nobody asks before they buy. Answer them with your own numbers.
How many hours will it take to build your click fraud rules, exclusion lists and a separate tracking setup before the first sale is tracked?
How many hours a month will someone spend keeping it working when Meta, Google or TikTok change something?
If a tag breaks quietly for a week, how many leads never reach your ads? And what is one lead worth to you?
How many sales a month close in your CRM that your ads never hear about?
The last question matters most. When bot leads reach your ads as conversions, the ads learn to find more of them. Cost per real sale climbs, and a blocker's dashboard will not tell you why.
A refund pays back the click. It never pays back what the ads learned from it.
Why people leave Clixtell
Clixtell is cheap and does its job on Google. People leave for reasons around the blocking, not in it.
- Only Google and Bing. Its site covers Google Ads and Bing Ads. We found no protection for Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn.
- The bots that get through still convert. IP exclusions stop known sources. They do not clean the conversions your ads receive.
- It is not your tracking. You still need server-side tracking, a consent banner and a CRM link from somewhere else.
- Plans are sized by ad clicks. Monitor stops at 5,000 clicks, Protection at 10,000, and Agency rises with volume.
- The sale never reaches it. Booked calls and won deals happen in a CRM. Clixtell sees the click, not the pipeline.
The real difference: what your ads learn from
Here is what that means in practice, one job at a time.
Every visit gets a verdict
Clixtell's Protection plan is real and worth knowing properly: automatic IP exclusions in Google Ads, custom rules, and blocking of suspicious devices, VPNs, proxies, IP ranges and ISPs. That works at the ad click, on Google.
DataCops checks every visit for bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies, and turns it into one switch per ad platform (see click fraud protection). Turn on Real people only for Meta and flagged visits never reach Meta. It is off by default, so you choose where it applies.
Four ad platforms, not one
Clixtell protects Google Ads and Bing Ads. If you also spend on Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn, those bots go straight into your data. DataCops sends server-side conversions from your own subdomain to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn, with a bot switch for each. Microsoft Ads is not one of them, and that is where Clixtell wins.
The sale happens after the form
For a clinic, an agency or a B2B team, the money comes later: the booked call, the patient who showed up, the deal marked won. Clixtell has no path to send those to your ads. Its only link-out we found is Zapier, on the call tracking product.
DataCops is built around that moment. Install it once on your HighLevel agency and pick the clients. Leads, booked calls, show-ups, won deals with their value and paid invoices go to each client's ad platforms, matched to the ad click by click ID or hashed email and phone. Any other CRM posts the sale to a private webhook. Cancellations, no-shows and lost deals are never sent. Read more on offline conversions and HighLevel conversion tracking.
You can see what each click became
Clixtell has a click log inside its fraud dashboard. It tells you about the click. DataCops keeps a click log in first-party analytics, and every conversion gets a row per platform (sent, held, skipped or failed) with the reason next to it. When a client asks why a lead never reached Meta, the answer is one row away.
Consent and privacy are built in
We found no consent manager on Clixtell's pages. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager built on IAB TCF v2.2, and website events wait for consent. Visitors can ask for deletion through a self-serve form, confirmed by email. Deletion requests from Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn are acted on automatically; Google Ads deletions are still manual. Click IDs, sessions and the click log are deleted after 90 days.
Clixtell tells you a click was bad. DataCops makes sure your ads never think it was a customer.
Offline conversions: the job a blocker cannot do
Most businesses do not sell on the website. The website collects the lead. The money comes later, and that is what your ads need to learn from.
| Business | What the pixel sees | What DataCops adds |
|---|---|---|
| Clinics, dental, med spa | Booking form | Booked, showed, treatment paid |
| Home services, roofing, solar | Quote request | Estimate booked, job won with its value |
| Agencies running client ads | Form fills per client | Every client's booked, showed, won and paid |
| B2B and SaaS | Demo request, signup | The stages your CRM posts, by webhook |
| Legal, finance, high-ticket services | Enquiry | Consult booked, client signed |
From HighLevel natively, or any CRM by webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. Each sale goes to the ad platforms of the matching client.
A real sale is the strongest bot filter there is. Bots do not show up to appointments or pay invoices. When your ads learn from sales, not form fills, bot leads stop being worth chasing.

"15 minutes to get server-side tracking live. After 3 days failing with another app and a DIY server-side Google Tag Manager, that alone sold me. Then support jumped on a Google Meet with me on a Sunday afternoon to finish the job."Andrew Forsyth, Chief Executive Officer, Zeald

1. DataCops: best Clixtell alternative overall
DataCops does not compete with Clixtell at the door. It works on what comes after: conversions go server-side from your own domain, every visit gets a bot verdict, flagged visits are kept out of each platform, and CRM sales are matched back to the ad click.
Why people switch to it
- Bots kept out of four ad platforms, not one
- Tracking, consent and bot filtering in one script
- Booked, showed, won and paid from HighLevel or any CRM
- A delivery log that says why
Worth knowing
- Does not block the paid click or add IP exclusions
- No Microsoft Ads, call tracking or refund reports
- Real people only is off until you switch it on
Best for: teams who want their ads to learn from real people, on every platform you run.

2. ClickCease: best for small advertisers
ClickCease is the closest swap if you want Clixtell's job on more platforms. Starter covers 1 site and 5,000 visits of traffic, Pro is $104 a month billed yearly for 5 sites, and Advanced $244 for 20 sites. There is a 7-day trial.
It is still a blocker. The conversions your ads receive are a separate problem. See our ClickCease alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Google, Meta and Microsoft covered
- Well known, easy to start
Worth knowing
- Costs more than Clixtell at entry
- No server-side tracking or CRM stages
Best for: a blocker on more than Google.

3. ClickGuard: best for fine-grained rules
ClickGuard prices by ad spend: Lite $74 a month for 1 site and $5,000 spend, Standard $119 for 3 sites and $50,000, Pro $159 for unlimited sites and $100,000. Annual billing saves 20%. Agencies like its detailed rules.
Same limit as every blocker: it works on the click, not on what your ads learn. See our ClickGuard alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Detailed blocking rules
- Unlimited sites on Pro
Worth knowing
- Price rises with ad spend
- No tracking or CRM stages
Best for: teams who manage spend-heavy accounts and want rule control.

4. Fraud Blocker: best for Google plus Facebook on a budget
Fraud Blocker covers Google and Meta's Facebook and Instagram. Standard is 5,000 clicks and 1 site, Pro $84 a month billed yearly for 25,000 clicks and 50 sites, Enterprise from $489. There is a 7-day trial.
Good value for multi-site owners. Still a blocker. See our Fraud Blocker alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Facebook and Instagram covered
- 50 sites on Pro
Worth knowing
- No TikTok or LinkedIn found on its pricing page
- No tracking or CRM stages
Best for: advertisers who run Google and Facebook ads and watch every dollar.

5. Spider AF: best for a broader ad fraud suite
Spider AF sells ad fraud protection as a wider suite than a single click blocker. We did not confirm its price for this guide, so check its own pricing page before you compare.
Like the others here, it is built around fraud, not your conversion tracking. See our Spider AF alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Broader fraud coverage
Worth knowing
- No price confirmed here
- Not a tracking solution
Best for: when fraud is your whole problem and you want one suite for it.
Looking wider? Compare Anura, DataDome for enterprise bot management, ClickPatrol, fraud0, PPC Protect, Fraudlogix and ClickFortify.
What you give up with DataCops
Fair question, so here is the straight answer.
- No click blocking in Google Ads. DataCops does not push IP exclusion lists. You still pay for the bot click; the ads just never learn from it.
- No refund claims. There is no refund report for Google or Bing.
- No Microsoft Ads, call tracking or session recorder. Clixtell has all three.
- CRM events carry no bot flag. Real people only works on website visits. A sale posted from your CRM is sent as it is.
- A higher entry price. Clixtell starts at $15. DataCops is free up to 2,000 sessions, then $49 a month billed yearly.
If you need the paid click stopped at the door, keep a blocker too. The two do different jobs.
Stay with Clixtell, or pick DataCops
Stay with Clixtell if
- You only run Google and Bing ads and want IP exclusions for the lowest price.
- You rely on call tracking or the session recorder.
- Refund claims from Google and Bing matter to you.
Pick DataCops if
- You run Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn as well as Google, and bots reach them unchecked.
- Your sales close after the form: a booking, a call, a visit, a signed deal.
- You want tracking, consent and bot filtering in one place, not three tools.
Moving from Clixtell without losing protection
- Add DataCops next to Clixtell. One script and one DNS record. Leave Clixtell running.
- Connect your ad accounts and send each conversion from one place only, so nothing counts twice.
- Switch on Real people only for the platforms where you see bot leads.
- Compare for two weeks: what DataCops flagged, what reached each platform, and your cost per real lead.
- Connect your CRM (HighLevel or your webhook) to add the sales Clixtell never saw.
- Decide on Clixtell. If Google click blocking still earns its keep, keep it. If not, cancel at the end of the cycle.
Every DataCops product mentioned here
- Click fraud protection, SignupCops and first-party analytics.
- Offline conversions, HighLevel conversion tracking and DataCops for agencies.
- Server-side tracking.

Clixtell alternatives: FAQ
What is the best Clixtell alternative?
If you only want a different click blocker for Google Ads, ClickCease, ClickGuard or Fraud Blocker do the same job. If the real problem is that bots still become conversions your ads learn from, DataCops is a tracking solution: every visit gets a bot verdict, flagged visits are kept out of Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn, and your CRM sales are sent back to the ads.
How much does Clixtell cost?
On clixtell.com, checked September 2026: Monitor $15 a month (detection only, up to 5,000 ad clicks), Protection $50 a month (up to 10,000 clicks, automatic blocking), Agency from $75 a month and rising with click volume. Annual billing saves 20%, and there is a 14-day free trial. Call tracking is sold separately from $10 a month.
Is DataCops a click fraud tool?
No. DataCops is a tracking solution. It sends your conversions server-side from your own domain to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn, and puts a bot verdict on every visit. With Real people only on for a platform, flagged visits never reach it. It does not add IP exclusions to Google Ads or stop the paid click.
Does Clixtell protect Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn ads?
Its site says it covers Google Ads and Bing Ads. We found no Meta, TikTok or LinkedIn protection on the pages we checked. DataCops has a Real people only switch for each of Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn.
Does DataCops block clicks in Google Ads?
No, and this is the honest difference. Clixtell pushes IP exclusions into Google Ads so a known bad source stops seeing your ads. DataCops lets the click happen, gives the visit a verdict, and keeps it out of the conversions your ads learn from. Some teams run both.
Can I get refunds for click fraud with DataCops?
DataCops has no refund-claim report. Clixtell offers a detailed click fraud report to help you claim refunds from Google and Bing. DataCops does keep a click log per ad click in first-party analytics, so you can see what each click turned into.
Does DataCops support Microsoft (Bing) Ads?
No. DataCops sends to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn only. If Microsoft Ads is a big part of your spend, Clixtell covers it and DataCops does not.
Does DataCops do call tracking or session recording?
No. Clixtell sells call tracking and a website video recorder, and DataCops has neither. If calls are your main lead source, keep a call tracker. DataCops can still send the sale from your CRM by webhook once the call turns into a booking or a deal.
Is DataCops cheaper than Clixtell?
Not at the entry level. Clixtell Monitor is $15 a month and Protection $50. DataCops is free up to 2,000 sessions, and Business is $49 a month billed yearly ($59 monthly) for 50,000 sessions. The units differ: Clixtell counts ad clicks, DataCops counts visits, like Google Analytics. And DataCops also replaces your server-side tracking and consent manager, which Clixtell does not.
