The short answer
SourceLoop tells you what worked. DataCops tells your ads what worked, with the bots taken out, so they find more buyers.
- DataCops: best overall if you want the ads to learn. One script, a bot verdict on every visit, a consent manager built in, and booked, showed, won and paid sent to your ads.
- Attributer: best for putting source data into form fields and your CRM.
- WhatConverts: best for lead-gen agencies tracking calls, forms and chats.
- Wicked Reports: best for ecommerce and subscription brands that want lifetime value reports.
- Hyros: best for high-spend coaching and info-product funnels.
Most people who look at SourceLoop want one answer: which ad brought the lead that paid. SourceLoop answers it well. It ties forms, calls, chats, bookings and payments back to the campaign, and shows it in reports.
But a report is for you. Your ad platform does not read your dashboard. It learns only from the events it receives. That gap is what this guide is about.
Who learns from your attribution?
Attribution tools answer a question for a person. You open the dashboard, see that one campaign brought three won deals, and move budget. Useful. Slow. And the algorithm that spends your money every minute never saw those three deals.
Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn optimise toward whatever you send them. Send form fills, and they find more people who fill forms. Send won deals, and they find more people who buy. That is the whole game.
SourceLoop does send conversions to ad platforms, and it deserves credit for that. The difference is what it is built around. SourceLoop is built around the report. DataCops is built around what the platform receives: bots kept out before they count, consent checked first, every CRM stage matched to the click, and a row for every event saying sent, held, skipped or failed.
Think of it as two loops.
| The attribution loop | The ad platform loop | |
|---|---|---|
| Who learns | You, when you open the report | The algorithm, every time it bids |
| How often | When you have time to look | All day, every day |
| What it needs | A clear picture of the past | The stage (booked, showed, won, paid) matched to the click |
| What goes wrong | You move budget late | It learns from bots and form fills, and finds more of them |
SourceLoop is excellent at the first loop. DataCops is built for the second. When the ads hear that a lead paid, they go and find more people like that lead. No report can do that step for you.
A dashboard makes you smarter. A clean signal makes your ads smarter. Only one of them spends your budget.
What's your actual goal?
Nobody wants attribution for its own sake. You want five things:
- Capture every lead and sale, including the ones ad blockers and Safari hide.
- Send them to your ad platforms, so Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn learn who buys.
- Include the sales that happen later, on a call, at a visit, in your CRM.
- Keep bots out, so the platforms do not learn from fake leads.
- Stay compliant, with consent checked and data deleted on request.
SourceLoop is strongest on seeing where leads came from. DataCops is the machine that does all five for the ads. Here is the same goal, done both ways.
The traditional way, with SourceLoop
- Add the SourceLoop snippet to your site.
- Buy and wire an outside consent tool.
- Connect your forms, booking and CRM.
- Connect ad accounts for conversion sending.
- Read the attribution reports and move budget by hand.
- Find your own way to keep bot leads out of the ads.
- Strip health data yourself if Meta restricts you.
With DataCops
- Add one script and one DNS record.
- Connect Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn with one click each.
- Switch on the consent manager.
- Switch on Real people only.
- Connect HighLevel or your CRM webhook.
Then let the ads do the work. The stages after the form reach them, matched to the click, without a dashboard to babysit.
SourceLoop shows you the answer. DataCops hands it to the algorithm that spends your money.
The real cost of a $49 tool
SourceLoop Essential is $49 a month. That is the invoice. The real cost is in the questions nobody asks before they buy. Answer them with your own numbers.
How many hours will it take to build your attribution reports, consent tool and bot rules before the first sale is tracked?
How many hours a month will someone spend keeping it working when Meta, Google or TikTok change something?
If a tag breaks quietly for a week, how many leads never reach your ads? And what is one lead worth to you?
How many sales a month close in your CRM that your ads never hear about?
The last question matters most. If bot leads and form fills are what the ads learn from, lead quality drops and cost per sale climbs. A better report shows you the damage. It does not stop it.
Knowing which ad worked is good. Making the ad learn it is better.
Why people leave SourceLoop
SourceLoop is a solid attribution tool. People leave for reasons that sit next to the report.
- Bots are not mentioned. We found nothing about bot filtering on its site. Fake leads can still count, and still reach the ads.
- Consent is a second vendor. You bring OneTrust, Cookiebot or similar. Declined visitors drop to a totals-only mode.
- No HighLevel. Agencies on HighLevel find no native install.
- Page views set the price. A busy blog eats the plan fast. Essential covers 30,000 page views.
- Agencies pay per site. Agency is $249 for 3 sites, then $19 for each extra site.
- No free plan. A 7-day trial, then you pay.
The real difference: what the ads receive
Here is what that means in practice, one job at a time.
Every visit gets a verdict
We found no bot filtering on SourceLoop's pricing page, homepage or site search. A bot that fills a form is a lead in the report, and a lead the ads may learn from.
DataCops checks every visit for bots, datacenter traffic, VPNs and proxies, and turns it into one switch per ad platform (see click fraud protection). Turn on Real people only for Meta and flagged visits never reach Meta. With it on, about 99% of bots are kept out. It is off by default, so you choose where it applies.
The stage goes to the ad, not the dashboard
SourceLoop ties bookings and payments to the campaign and syncs attribution to your CRM. That is great for your reports.
DataCops is built around the ad platform. Install it once on your HighLevel agency and pick the clients. Form leads, booked calls, show-ups, won deals with their value and paid invoices go to each client's Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn, matched to the ad click by click ID or hashed email and phone. Any other CRM posts the sale to a private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. Cancellations, no-shows and lost deals are never sent. Read more on offline conversions and HighLevel conversion tracking.
Consent is built in
SourceLoop works with outside consent tools: OneTrust, Cookiebot, Iubenda, Osano or your own. If a visitor declines, it counts totals only. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager built on IAB TCF v2.2, and events wait for consent before they are sent. One less vendor, one less thing to wire.
First-party from your own subdomain
Both tools use first-party storage on your domain. SourceLoop quotes its own number: "Server-side 98%" against 62% for a pixel alone. DataCops runs server-side from your own subdomain with one DNS record. Click IDs are kept 90 days and the visitor cookie lasts up to 400 days (it needs consent in the EU). SourceLoop's pages give no cookie lifetime, so we cannot compare that row.
You can see why each event was sent
DataCops writes every conversion as a row per platform (sent, held, skipped or failed) with the reason next to it. When a client asks why a lead never reached Meta, you open the row. We found no delivery log like this on SourceLoop's site.
SourceLoop tells you where the lead came from. DataCops makes sure the ad hears whether it was real, and whether it paid.
Offline conversions, by industry
Most lead businesses do not sell on the website. The money comes later, and that later moment is what your ads need to learn from.
| Business | What the pixel sees | What DataCops adds |
|---|---|---|
| Clinics, dental, med spa | Booking form | Booked, showed, treatment paid |
| Home services, roofing, solar | Quote request | Estimate booked, job won with its value |
| Agencies running client ads | Form fills per client | Every client's booked, showed, won and paid |
| B2B and SaaS | Demo request, signup | Qualified lead, trial, paid, by webhook |
| Legal, finance, high-ticket services | Enquiry | Consult booked, client signed |
From HighLevel natively, or any CRM by webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n. Each sale is matched to the ad click by email or phone.
- A visitor clicks your ad. DataCops keeps the click ID on your own domain.
- The lead books, shows up or buys in your CRM, days or weeks later.
- DataCops finds the original click by the lead's email or phone.
- The stage goes to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn, counted once.
If you sell online, the edge is softer
We will be straight. For a store, the purchase already happens on the site, and most tools already send it to the ads. SourceLoop does too. So the stage argument above matters less.
What still matters for a store:
- Bots kept out. Fake add-to-carts and checkouts do not teach the ads.
- Consent built in. No second vendor, and events wait for consent.
- First-party capture. Sent server-side from your own subdomain, so ad blockers and Safari lose less.
- Nothing to babysit. No dashboard to read before the ads get smarter.
If deep store reports are what you want, a reporting tool may suit you better. That is fine.
Meta health and wellness restrictions
If you advertise a clinic, a treatment or a supplement, Meta may restrict the events it accepts from you. What gets an account in trouble is usually the data itself: a page link that names the treatment, an event called Book_Implant_Consult, a form that sends symptoms.
With SourceLoop, we found nothing about health restrictions on its site. Keeping that data out is on you.
With DataCops, you switch on health mode. Only an approved field list is sent. Page links are cut to the domain. Event names go neutral, so Lead becomes L_1.

Sessions past a DataCops plan are skipped until you upgrade or the month resets. SourceLoop column checked on sourceloop.ai, 28 September 2026. "Not mentioned on its site" means we searched its pricing page, homepage and site and found nothing.

1. DataCops: best SourceLoop alternative overall
DataCops is the tracking solution for ad-funded businesses: it keeps bots out of what your ads learn from and sends the sale that happens after the form to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn. Conversions go server-side from your own subdomain. Every visit gets a bot verdict. Consent is checked by a built-in manager. The stages after the form come from HighLevel or any CRM, matched to the click, and reach the ads. Every event has a row that says what happened and why.
Why people switch to it
- Real people only keeps bots out of each platform
- Booked, showed, won and paid sent to the ads
- Consent manager built in
- Free plan and an agency board
Worth knowing
- No multi-touch reports or funnels
- No native HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive
- Four ad platforms, no Pinterest
Best for: teams who want the ads to learn, not just the dashboard.

2. Attributer: best for source data in your CRM
Attributer writes UTM and source data into hidden form fields, so every lead lands in your CRM with its channel attached. Simple and cheap. It prices by leads, not traffic.
It is a reporting helper. The source sits in your CRM for you to read. Getting stages back to the ads, and keeping bots out, is still your job.
Why people switch to it
- Low entry price
- Works with almost any form
Worth knowing
- Priced by leads
- Does not feed the ads by itself
Best for: teams who just want the source on every CRM record.

3. WhatConverts: best for call-heavy lead-gen agencies
WhatConverts tracks calls, forms and chats in one place, and its agency plans cover unlimited accounts. If the phone is where your leads start, it is strong.
Numbers and minutes cost extra on top of the plan. And like SourceLoop, its heart is the report.
Why people switch to it
- Call tracking built in
- Unlimited accounts on agency plans
Worth knowing
- Numbers and minutes billed on top
- Agency plans start at $500
Best for: businesses whose leads mostly come by phone.

4. Wicked Reports: best for ecommerce lifetime value
Wicked Reports is built for ecommerce and subscription brands that want lifetime value and cohort reports. Deep, and priced for bigger stores.
Sending to Meta's Conversions API ("Advanced Signal") is a $199 add-on unless you are on Maximize. See our Wicked Reports alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Lifetime value and cohorts
- Built for subscriptions
Worth knowing
- Starts at $499 a month
- Meta CAPI is an add-on below Maximize
Best for: stores that live on repeat purchases.

5. Hyros: best for high-spend funnels
Hyros is popular with coaching and info-product funnels that spend heavily on ads and close on calls. We found no public price on its site, so expect a sales call.
It is a big attribution platform. If your spend is modest, it is a lot of tool. See our Hyros alternatives.
Why people switch to it
- Built for call-closed funnels
- Deep ad reporting
Worth knowing
- No public price
- Heavy for small budgets
Best for: big funnel spenders who want a full attribution suite.
What you give up with DataCops
Fair question, so here is the straight answer.
- The dashboards. No multi-touch models, funnels, custom dashboards, white-label reports or MCP access. No media mix modelling or creative analytics either. If your job is reporting to a board, SourceLoop does more.
- Some sources. No call tracking, chat attribution or payment sources like Stripe. No native HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive; those go by webhook.
- Pinterest. DataCops sends to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn only.
- Long history. Click IDs, sessions and the click log are deleted after 90 days.
If none of those matter to you, you lose nothing you use.
Moving from SourceLoop without losing tracking
- Add DataCops next to SourceLoop. One script and one DNS record. Leave SourceLoop running.
- Connect the same ad accounts, but send each conversion from one place only, so nothing counts twice.
- Switch on the consent manager and Real people only.
- Connect HighLevel or your CRM webhook for booked, showed, won and paid.
- Compare for two weeks in Meta Events Manager and Google Ads, then decide whether you still need the reports.
How to choose a SourceLoop alternative
- Ask who needs the answer. If it is you, an attribution tool helps. If it is the ad algorithm, you need delivery.
- Check where your sales close. In a CRM or on a call? The stages after the form must reach the ads.
- Look at your traffic. If bots fill your forms, you want them kept out before the ads count them.
- Count your platforms. Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, LinkedIn? DataCops covers them. Pinterest? Stay with a tool that sends there.
Comparing the wider group? See Hyros, Wicked Reports, Ruler Analytics, Dreamdata and CustomerLabs alternatives.
Stay with SourceLoop if
- You need multi-touch reports, funnels and custom dashboards.
- You rely on native HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive sync, or on call and chat tracking.
- You advertise on Pinterest, or want white-label reports for clients.
Pick DataCops if
- You want the ads, not just you, to learn who buys.
- Bots fill your forms, or you need consent built in.
- You or your agency run HighLevel, with many clients on one login.
Every DataCops product mentioned here
- Offline conversions: CRM sales and stages back to your ads.
- HighLevel conversion tracking and DataCops for agencies.
- Server-side tracking.
- Meta Conversions API, Google Ads conversion tracking, TikTok Events API, LinkedIn Conversions API.
- Click fraud protection, SignupCops and first-party analytics.
- Consent manager, Ads Warmup and health mode.
SourceLoop alternatives: FAQ
What is the best SourceLoop alternative?
If you want a report that shows which campaign brought each lead, Attributer or WhatConverts. If you want the ads themselves to learn who buys, DataCops: one script, a bot verdict on every visit, a consent manager built in, and the stages after the form (booked, showed, won, paid) sent to Meta, Google Ads, TikTok and LinkedIn, matched to the ad click.
How much does SourceLoop cost?
On sourceloop.ai/pricing, checked September 2026: Essential $49 a month ($37 billed yearly) for 1 site and 30,000 page views, Professional $99 ($74 yearly) for 100,000 page views, Agency $249 ($187 yearly) for 3 sites and 2.5 million page views. An extra site is $19 a month and each extra 100,000 page views $9. There is a 7-day trial and no free plan.
Does SourceLoop filter bots?
We found nothing about bot filtering on its pricing page, homepage or a search of its site. DataCops gives every visit a verdict (bot, datacenter, VPN, proxy) and, with Real people only switched on for a platform, keeps flagged visits out of it. It is off by default.
Does SourceLoop have a consent manager?
No built-in one. It works with outside tools such as OneTrust, Cookiebot, Iubenda and Osano, and falls back to a cookieless totals-only mode when a visitor declines. DataCops includes a first-party consent manager built on IAB TCF v2.2, and events wait for consent.
Does SourceLoop send conversions to ad platforms?
Yes. Its pricing page lists Google, Meta and LinkedIn ads with Conversions API sending on every plan, and its homepage also lists TikTok and Pinterest. The difference is focus: SourceLoop is built around attribution reports; DataCops is built around what the ad platform receives, with bots kept out and every row logged with a reason.
Does DataCops work with HighLevel?
Yes, natively. Install it once for your agency and pick the clients. It sends form leads, booked calls, show-ups, won deals with their value and paid invoices. Cancellations, no-shows and lost deals are never sent. SourceLoop does not list HighLevel.
Does DataCops sync with HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive?
Not natively. SourceLoop does, and it wins that row. DataCops takes sales from any other CRM through a private webhook, directly or through Zapier, Make or n8n.
Does DataCops do multi-touch attribution?
No. DataCops delivers conversions to the ad platforms and shows a click log in first-party analytics. If you need multi-touch models, funnels and custom dashboards, SourceLoop does more there.
Is DataCops cheaper than SourceLoop?
It starts lower: DataCops has a free plan up to 2,000 sessions, and Business is $49 a month billed yearly ($59 monthly) for 50,000 sessions. Units differ. SourceLoop counts page views; a DataCops session is one visit, however many pages it holds. For agencies, SourceLoop Agency is $249 for 3 sites; DataCops agency plans start at $199 with every client on one login.
