First-party domain setup

One DNS record makes DataCops load as part of your own site, so nothing blocks it. It takes a couple of minutes.

What it is

First-party setup means pointing a subdomain of your site, like datacops.yourstore.com, at DataCops. Once you do, the DataCops script loads as first-party, so ad blockers, Safari, and Brave treat it as part of your own site and let it run.

The DNS record

In your domain settings, add this record:

  • Type: CNAME
  • Host: datacops
  • Value: cdn.joindatacops.com

If your provider supports one-click domain connect (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, IONOS), DataCops can add it for you. Otherwise add it by hand.

Verify and go

Most providers update within one to ten minutes. Once it is live, DataCops confirms it and starts loading first-party. On Shopify with a custom domain, the same record works.
